HSN (HNBR) 80 568-928

The HSN80928 is an AS568-928 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 80 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 2.09 in (53.09 mm), a cross section of 0.118 in (3 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.326 in (59.08 mm). This o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified here for strong resistance to rapid gas decompression and oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability. This material stands up to modern refrigerants, ozone and weathering, and sour gas and amine inhibitors. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). It should not be specified for service in strong oxidizing acids or esters.

Common environments for this compound include commercial refrigeration, engine timing systems, and heavy-duty powertrain.
