The H70MD156 is an AS568-156 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 4.237 in (107.62 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.443 in (112.85 mm). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) delivers an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Expect good resistance to hydraulic fluids, greases and lubricants, and water. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. Exposure to strong acids or ozone and direct sunlight will shorten service life.
