Part number H70MD246 is an AS568-246 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 4.484 in (113.89 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.762 in (120.95 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

The compound resists petroleum-based oils, propane and butane, and many alcohols. Buna-N (Nitrile) is known for strong abrasion and tear resistance, the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where automotive brake fluid or polar solvents are present.
