The H70MD251 is an AS568-251 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 5.109 in (129.77 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.387 in (136.83 mm). This o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, low compression set under sustained load. It resists greases and lubricants, water, and propane and butane. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Exposure to strong acids or automotive brake fluid will shorten service life.

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. It sees regular use in agricultural equipment, automotive, and fluid power.
