Ordered as H70MD282, this is an AS568-282 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 15.955 in (405.26 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 16.233 in (412.32 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is valued for strong abrasion and tear resistance, reliable performance in both static and dynamic service. This material stands up to petroleum-based oils, many alcohols, and water. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in strong acids or ozone and direct sunlight.
