H70MD378 is an AS568-378 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 10.475 in (266.07 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 10.895 in (276.73 mm). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer and economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs. The compound resists water, propane and butane, and many alcohols. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. Exposure to ketones or ozone and direct sunlight will shorten service life.
