The H70MD383 is an AS568-383 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 13.975 in (354.97 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 14.395 in (365.63 mm). This o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for strong abrasion and tear resistance, most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Expect good resistance to many alcohols, petroleum-based oils, and hydraulic fluids. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). Applications involving ozone and direct sunlight or ketones call for a different compound.

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. You will find this material specified across construction equipment, agricultural equipment, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
