APG stocks the H70MD388, an AS568-388 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 18.953 in (481.41 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 19.373 in (492.07 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The compound resists petroleum-based oils, propane and butane, and greases and lubricants. Buna-N (Nitrile) is widely chosen for an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs and low compression set under sustained load. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). It should not be specified for service in strong acids or automotive brake fluid.
