APG stocks the H70MD401, an AS568-401 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 1.475 in (37.47 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.025 in (51.44 mm). An o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer and low compression set under sustained load. Expect good resistance to water, petroleum-based oils, and hydraulic fluids. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). It should not be specified for service in automotive brake fluid or polar solvents.

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Typical settings include automotive, general industrial maintenance, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
