This o-ring is supplied in AS568-453 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 11.975 in (304.17 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 12.525 in (318.14 mm), catalogued under part number H70MD453. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for low compression set under sustained load, reliable performance in both static and dynamic service. Expect good resistance to water, petroleum-based oils, and propane and butane. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. Applications involving ozone and direct sunlight or strong acids call for a different compound.
