Part number H70MD456 is an AS568-456 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 13.475 in (342.27 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 14.025 in (356.24 mm). An o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

The compound resists water, petroleum-based oils, and greases and lubricants. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) offers low compression set under sustained load and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It should not be specified for service in strong acids or ozone and direct sunlight.
