H70MD463 is an AS568-463 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 16.955 in (430.66 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 17.505 in (444.63 mm). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

This material stands up to petroleum-based oils, water, and many alcohols. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) is valued for strong abrasion and tear resistance, an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C).
