H70MD474 is an AS568-474 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 24.94 in (633.48 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 25.49 in (647.45 mm). In service, this o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

It resists many alcohols, hydraulic fluids, and petroleum-based oils. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) offers low compression set under sustained load and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Applications involving ozone and direct sunlight or polar solvents call for a different compound.

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Common environments for this compound include agricultural equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and construction equipment.
