It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is valued for strong abrasion and tear resistance, the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. This material stands up to greases and lubricants, many alcohols, and water. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where polar solvents or ketones are present.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Typical settings include automotive, fluid power, and general industrial maintenance.
