-042 BLUE FKM 75D O-RING

APG stocks the V75MD042, an AS568-042 blue Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 3.239 in (82.27 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.379 in (85.83 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Viton® (FKM) is specified for very low compression set at elevated temperature and outstanding high-temperature capability. The compound resists chlorinated solvents, aggressive chemicals, and many acids. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Applications involving hot water and steam or ketones and esters call for a different compound.

The compound meets FDA requirements for food contact, carries NSF listing, and is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. It sees regular use in high-temperature process equipment, aerospace, and chemical processing.
