This o-ring is supplied in AS568-048 blue Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 4.739 in (120.37 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.879 in (123.93 mm), catalogued under part number V75MD048. It provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is specified for outstanding high-temperature capability and very low compression set at elevated temperature. The compound resists many acids, aromatic hydrocarbons, and chlorinated solvents. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where low-molecular-weight organic acids or amines are present.
