This o-ring is supplied in AS568-122 blue Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 1.112 in (28.24 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.318 in (33.48 mm), catalogued under part number V75MD122. It provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

This material stands up to chlorinated solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons, and petroleum oils and fuels. Viton® (FKM) is valued for outstanding high-temperature capability and very low compression set at elevated temperature. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to amines or low-molecular-weight organic acids will shorten service life.

The compound meets FDA requirements for food contact, carries NSF listing, and is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Typical settings include automotive fuel systems, high-temperature process equipment, and aerospace.
