The V75MD161 is an AS568-161 blue Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 5.487 in (139.37 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.693 in (144.6 mm). This o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Viton® (FKM) is known for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The material holds up against aggressive chemicals, aromatic hydrocarbons, and many acids. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam are present.

The compound meets FDA requirements for food contact, carries NSF listing, and is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Common environments for this compound include oil and gas, high-temperature process equipment, and aerospace.
