This o-ring is supplied in AS568-263 blue Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 7.234 in (183.74 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.512 in (190.8 mm), catalogued under part number V75MD263. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) delivers very low compression set at elevated temperature, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The compound resists many acids, chlorinated solvents, and petroleum oils and fuels. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where amines or hot water and steam are present.

This o-ring meets FDA requirements for food contact, carries NSF listing, and is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Common environments for this compound include automotive fuel systems, high-temperature process equipment, and semiconductor equipment.
