This o-ring is supplied in AS568-400 blue Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A with an inside diameter of 1.35 in (34.29 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.9 in (48.26 mm), catalogued under part number V75MD400. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) offers outstanding high-temperature capability, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. This material stands up to aggressive chemicals, engine and transmission fluids, and chlorinated solvents. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam are present.
