This o-ring is supplied in AS568-414 blue Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A with an inside diameter of 3.1 in (78.74 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.65 in (92.71 mm), catalogued under part number V75MD414. It compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) offers excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. This material stands up to aggressive chemicals, engine and transmission fluids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to ketones and esters or hot water and steam will shorten service life.

The compound meets FDA requirements for food contact, carries NSF listing, and is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Typical settings include semiconductor equipment, chemical processing, and high-temperature process equipment.
