This o-ring is supplied in AS568-434 blue Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 5.6 in (142.24 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.15 in (156.21 mm), catalogued under part number V75MD434. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) delivers the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The material holds up against petroleum oils and fuels, chlorinated solvents, and engine and transmission fluids. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Exposure to hot water and steam or amines will shorten service life.
