Ordered as V75MD446, this is an AS568-446 blue Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 8.475 in (215.27 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.025 in (229.24 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for very low compression set at elevated temperature, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. It resists chlorinated solvents, engine and transmission fluids, and aggressive chemicals. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam call for a different compound.
