Ordered as V75MD909, this is an AS568-909 blue Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.706 in (17.93 mm), a cross section of 0.097 in (2.46 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.9 in (22.86 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The compound resists many acids, chlorinated solvents, and aggressive chemicals. Viton® (FKM) offers the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and very low compression set at elevated temperature. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Exposure to ketones and esters or hot water and steam will shorten service life.
