This o-ring is supplied in AS568-911 blue Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A with an inside diameter of 0.863 in (21.92 mm), a cross section of 0.116 in (2.95 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.095 in (27.81 mm), catalogued under part number V75MD911. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for outstanding high-temperature capability and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. This material stands up to engine and transmission fluids, aggressive chemicals, and chlorinated solvents. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or ketones and esters call for a different compound.

This o-ring meets FDA requirements for food contact, carries NSF listing, and is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Common environments for this compound include aerospace, oil and gas, and chemical processing.
