-001 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

APG stocks the S70MD001, an AS568-001 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.029 in (0.74 mm), a cross section of 0.04 in (1.02 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.109 in (2.77 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

It resists many oxidizing chemicals, ozone and UV exposure, and extreme heat and cold. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone is specified for an exceptionally wide service temperature range and very good compression set resistance across its range. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where hydrocarbon fuels and oils or steam above its rated range are present.

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Maintenance and OEM teams specify it across pharmaceutical manufacturing, medical devices, and electronics and electrical enclosures.
