-002 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

Part number S70MD002 is an AS568-002 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.042 in (1.07 mm), a cross section of 0.05 in (1.27 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.142 in (3.61 mm). An o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Silicone delivers physiological inertness and low toxicity, flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. This material stands up to ozone and UV exposure, weathering, and many oxidizing chemicals. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Applications involving abrasive dynamic service or hydrocarbon fuels and oils call for a different compound.

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Typical settings include sanitary process lines, food and beverage processing, and electronics and electrical enclosures.
