APG stocks the S70MD027, an AS568-027 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.301 in (33.05 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.441 in (36.6 mm). An o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

As a material, Silicone is specified for physiological inertness and low toxicity, flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. The compound resists many oxidizing chemicals, ozone and UV exposure, and dry heat. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in concentrated acids or steam above its rated range.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. It sees regular use in medical devices, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and electronics and electrical enclosures.
