-046 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

Ordered as S70MD046, this is an AS568-046 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 4.239 in (107.67 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.379 in (111.23 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Silicone delivers physiological inertness and low toxicity, very good compression set resistance across its range. It resists extreme heat and cold, ozone and UV exposure, and weathering. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to abrasive dynamic service or hydrocarbon fuels and oils will shorten service life.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. It sees regular use in medical devices, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and food and beverage processing.
