-050 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

Ordered as S70MD050, this is an AS568-050 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 5.239 in (133.07 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.379 in (136.63 mm). The o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Expect good resistance to ozone and UV exposure, extreme heat and cold, and many oxidizing chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone is valued for excellent electrical insulating properties and an exceptionally wide service temperature range. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in concentrated acids or steam above its rated range.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. You will find this material specified across sanitary process lines, ovens and heated equipment, and food and beverage processing.
