Product Specification

-
Part number S70MD103 is an AS568-103 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.081 in (2.06 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.287 in (7.29 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Silicone is specified here for excellent electrical insulating properties and exceptionally wide service temperature range. The material holds up against many oxidizing chemicals, extreme heat and cold, and dry heat. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C).

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Typical settings include food and beverage processing, ovens and heated equipment, and medical devices.

Stocked as S70MD103 and sold individually. Nominal inside diameter is listed as 3/32 inch. Review your operating media and conditions against this specification before installation. APG supports cross-referencing from drawings, samples and competitor numbers when a listed size is not an exact fit.
