Product Specification

-
The S70MD128 is an AS568-128 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 1.487 in (37.77 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.693 in (43 mm). This o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Silicone is specified for an exceptionally wide service temperature range and very good compression set resistance across its range. This material stands up to dry heat, weathering, and ozone and UV exposure. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in steam above its rated range or abrasive dynamic service.

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Maintenance and OEM teams specify it across pharmaceutical manufacturing, sanitary process lines, and medical devices.

This item is sold individually under part number S70MD128. Nominal inside diameter is listed as 1 1/2 inch. Check the compound against your process media, pressure and temperature before committing to a design.
