-140 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

S70MD140 is an AS568-140 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 2.237 in (56.82 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.443 in (62.05 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Silicone is known for an exceptionally wide service temperature range and very good compression set resistance across its range. This material stands up to extreme heat and cold, ozone and UV exposure, and many oxidizing chemicals. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. Verify compatibility before use with concentrated acids or steam above its rated range.

This item is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. It sees regular use in electronics and electrical enclosures, sanitary process lines, and ovens and heated equipment.
