-143 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-143 red Silicone 70 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 2.425 in (61.6 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.631 in (66.83 mm), catalogued under part number S70MD143. It compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

It resists ozone and UV exposure, weathering, and dry heat. Silicone is known for an exceptionally wide service temperature range and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. Applications involving steam above its rated range or concentrated acids call for a different compound.

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Typical settings include ovens and heated equipment, food and beverage processing, and electronics and electrical enclosures.
