-149 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

S70MD149 is an AS568-149 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.8 in (71.12 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.006 in (76.35 mm). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Silicone is specified here for flexibility that holds at very low temperatures and very good compression set resistance across its range. The compound resists weathering, extreme heat and cold, and ozone and UV exposure. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in steam above its rated range or hydrocarbon fuels and oils.

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Maintenance and OEM teams specify it across sanitary process lines, medical devices, and ovens and heated equipment.
