-161 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

The S70MD161 is an AS568-161 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 5.487 in (139.37 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.693 in (144.6 mm). This o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

As a material, Silicone is specified for excellent electrical insulating properties and an exceptionally wide service temperature range. It resists ozone and UV exposure, dry heat, and weathering. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Verify compatibility before use with steam above its rated range or hydrocarbon fuels and oils.

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. It sees regular use in food and beverage processing, sanitary process lines, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
