-162 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

The S70MD162 is an AS568-162 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 5.737 in (145.72 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.943 in (150.95 mm). This o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Silicone is specified here for exceptionally wide service temperature range, physiological inertness and low toxicity. Expect good resistance to ozone and UV exposure, weathering, and dry heat. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to concentrated acids or steam above its rated range will shorten service life.

This item is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. It sees regular use in electronics and electrical enclosures, food and beverage processing, and medical devices.
