-163 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

S70MD163 is an AS568-163 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 5.987 in (152.07 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.193 in (157.3 mm). In service, this o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Silicone is valued for physiological inertness and low toxicity, excellent electrical insulating properties. This material stands up to many oxidizing chemicals, ozone and UV exposure, and extreme heat and cold. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where abrasive dynamic service or concentrated acids are present.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Common environments for this compound include pharmaceutical manufacturing, sanitary process lines, and ovens and heated equipment.
