-167 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-167 red Silicone 70 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 6.987 in (177.47 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.193 in (182.7 mm), catalogued under part number S70MD167. It creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

As a material, Silicone is known for an exceptionally wide service temperature range and very good compression set resistance across its range. The compound resists ozone and UV exposure, many oxidizing chemicals, and weathering. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to steam above its rated range or hydrocarbon fuels and oils will shorten service life.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. It sees regular use in pharmaceutical manufacturing, electronics and electrical enclosures, and ovens and heated equipment.
