The S70MD177 is an AS568-177 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 9.487 in (240.97 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.693 in (246.2 mm). This o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Silicone delivers an exceptionally wide service temperature range, physiological inertness and low toxicity. Expect good resistance to many oxidizing chemicals, weathering, and dry heat. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in concentrated acids or steam above its rated range.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Typical settings include pharmaceutical manufacturing, food and beverage processing, and medical devices.
