The S70MD202 is an AS568-202 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.234 in (5.94 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.512 in (13 mm). This o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

As a material, Silicone is valued for an exceptionally wide service temperature range and excellent electrical insulating properties. This material stands up to many oxidizing chemicals, dry heat, and extreme heat and cold. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). Applications involving hydrocarbon fuels and oils or concentrated acids call for a different compound.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Common environments for this compound include ovens and heated equipment, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and medical devices.
