-217 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

The S70MD217 is an AS568-217 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.171 in (29.74 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.449 in (36.8 mm). This o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

The compound resists weathering, many oxidizing chemicals, and dry heat. Silicone is valued for flexibility that holds at very low temperatures and very good compression set resistance across its range. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to steam above its rated range or hydrocarbon fuels and oils will shorten service life.

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Typical settings include food and beverage processing, ovens and heated equipment, and sanitary process lines.
