-220 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-220 red Silicone 70 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 1.359 in (34.52 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.637 in (41.58 mm), catalogued under part number S70MD220. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Expect good resistance to extreme heat and cold, ozone and UV exposure, and dry heat. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone is widely chosen for physiological inertness and low toxicity, excellent electrical insulating properties. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where abrasive dynamic service or concentrated acids are present.
