-246 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

The S70MD246 is an AS568-246 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 4.484 in (113.89 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.762 in (120.95 mm). This o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Silicone is specified here for excellent electrical insulating properties and exceptionally wide service temperature range. Expect good resistance to extreme heat and cold, dry heat, and many oxidizing chemicals. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where steam above its rated range or abrasive dynamic service are present.
