APG stocks the S70MD248, an AS568-248 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 4.734 in (120.24 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.012 in (127.3 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Silicone delivers an exceptionally wide service temperature range and very good compression set resistance across its range. The compound resists ozone and UV exposure, many oxidizing chemicals, and weathering. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where steam above its rated range or hydrocarbon fuels and oils are present.
