-254 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

APG stocks the S70MD254, an AS568-254 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 5.484 in (139.29 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.762 in (146.35 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

As a material, Silicone is valued for very good compression set resistance across its range and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. Expect good resistance to many oxidizing chemicals, weathering, and extreme heat and cold. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C).

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Typical settings include medical devices, sanitary process lines, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
