-260 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

Ordered as S70MD260, this is an AS568-260 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 6.484 in (164.69 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.762 in (171.75 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, Silicone delivers an exceptionally wide service temperature range and excellent electrical insulating properties. Expect good resistance to extreme heat and cold, weathering, and many oxidizing chemicals. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C).

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Typical settings include electronics and electrical enclosures, sanitary process lines, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
