Product Specification

-
Part number S70MD279 is an AS568-279 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 12.984 in (329.79 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 13.262 in (336.85 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

The material holds up against extreme heat and cold, dry heat, and ozone and UV exposure. Silicone is specified for very good compression set resistance across its range and excellent electrical insulating properties. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where steam above its rated range or concentrated acids are present.

This item is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. It sees regular use in sanitary process lines, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and electronics and electrical enclosures.

Stocked as S70MD279 and sold individually. Nominal inside diameter is listed as 13 inch. Application requirements vary, so validate compatibility with your process conditions prior to installation.
