-282 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

Ordered as S70MD282, this is an AS568-282 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 15.955 in (405.26 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 16.233 in (412.32 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Expect good resistance to many oxidizing chemicals, dry heat, and weathering. Silicone is known for excellent electrical insulating properties and an exceptionally wide service temperature range. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. Exposure to hydrocarbon fuels and oils or steam above its rated range will shorten service life.
