S70MD312 is an AS568-312 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.6 in (15.24 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.02 in (25.91 mm). In service, this o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Silicone is specified here for exceptionally wide service temperature range, physiological inertness and low toxicity. This material stands up to extreme heat and cold, many oxidizing chemicals, and weathering. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C).
