Silicone is specified here for exceptionally wide service temperature range, physiological inertness and low toxicity. This material stands up to extreme heat and cold, many oxidizing chemicals, and weathering. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). Verify compatibility before use with steam above its rated range or abrasive dynamic service.
The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. You will find this material specified across pharmaceutical manufacturing, electronics and electrical enclosures, and medical devices.
Reference part number S70MD312 when ordering; the item is sold individually. Nominal inside diameter is listed as 5/8 inch. Review your operating media and conditions against this specification before installation. APG supports cross-referencing from drawings, samples and competitor numbers when a listed size is not an exact fit.
